6 December 2012: FIRST RENEWABLE ELECTRICITY GENERATED AT ROOS

Roos Wind Farm generated its first renewable electricity on Thursday 6 December 2012. The electricity flowed as the fully erected turbines were allowed to turn for the first time. A comprehensive programme of testing and commissioning now follows in order to bring all nine turbines on-line. The wind farm is on schedule to be completed and moved into full operation in Spring 2013.
