FUNDING IN ACTION

Roos Wind Farm is committed to being a good neighbour throughout its lifetime. Below are examples of how the Community Benefit Fund has supported the local community in the last year. Awards made in previous years are available by clicking the links opposite.

 2015 Fund Awards

Grants in 2015 totalled almost £35,739, with the following organisations receiving support.

Roos Memorial Institute received £5,000 towards the provision of a new floor.

Roos Photographic Club was awarded the cost of acquiring a projector and laptop for community use.

Halsham Parish Council asked for help to install new windows and a new heating system in the village hall. The Fund awarded £5,000 towards project costs and the new windows.

All Saint's Church, Roos was awarded £1850 for essential works to connect its new water system to the mains. This follows a grant in 2014 that enabled the installation of new pipes and heating.

Roos & District Horticultural Society received £4,500 which they needed to purchase two new marquees and some folding tables.

St Margaret's Church suffered damage caused by movement of the church tower and was awarded £1,200 to carry out the repairs.

Burton Pidsea Memorial Hall is subject to a major refurbishment programme to bring it up to modern standards. The Roos Fund has provided £12,000 towards the first phase of works.

Roos Playing Fields Association has a brand new grass cutting machine, thanks to a grant of £5,000.
